Goooooo COUGARS!!

Football season is ALMOST HERE!! Despite the fact that I am living in Texas and will miss most of my games (cry), I have decided to start the love-fest early. Facebook had a photo contest of Awesome Cougar Fans, and I wanted to share some of my favorites.

My #1 Vote (obviously)

What I will do if I have twins (SO CUTE!!!)

Remembering good times in Seattle when we pulled out the win:

And of course - the coolest moment of the trip when we "met" Harvey Unga and made him do a photo op:

I don't know if we'll win much or lose much this season. I do know that it will be different from any other season because I won't be in the heart of Cougar Town. But maybe...just maybe...we'll surprise even ourselves. We could beat OK...we could beat Florida State...I could get a job, come home and be there when we smash the Utes. Yeah...Dreams do come true!

Crackin' me up

I just need to share some awesome entries from Cake Wrecks. If you aren't checking this blog daily, you are missing out. But here are examples of some of the Brain-missing cakes that come out of professional bakeries that were just making me go, "huh?"

First up - Triangle man. I know this is a cookie - but WHY is he a triangle? I can't figure it out. So if you have an idea, please share.

This just looks like a kid got ahold of the icing. And this was a professionally made cake. I couldn't buy it - I wouldn't buy it.

last but not least - the very sad bunny cake. This is how I've always wanted to celebrate Easter!

See what I mean? if you are not checking cake wrecks every day, you too might become a victim!

A weekend of total Cuteness!

So home was fun...almost too much b/c I hardly had time to do much of anything except everything I did, but not the stuff that I didn't do which means I got almost nothing done because I was too busy doing everything. Um. Did that make sense?

Oh - and somewhere in the middle of that I misplaced my camera. I found it again, thank goodness. But I don't have that many pics. So I'll just share what I have because I have lots of the kids - especially little Cayden who is Cuteness Personified!

Braxton drinking from the Lion's mouth - eeeek!

Robert, Brax and Emily

Savannah and Emmy with the ball of water

Stealing Kimi's hat was, apparently, hilarious!

Baby Giraffe

Baby Cayden (cuter than the giraffe I think)

After the zoo we decided to do a little 4wheeling. This is Emily and I up at the top of our trail...

The trail we climbed

Savannah and Emily did so well! They are going to be crazy little 4-wheelin' kids once they can drive...

Robert absolutely loved going with Grandpa. I don't think he enjoyed riding with me as much because he holds on to my arms so awkwardly that I could barely steer!

Brax did not have as much fun. Apparently he'd rather be knee boarding (no - no pics...I was driving the boat) instead of 4-wheeling!

After that - I lost my camera for a bit. But I had a nice temple trip (followed by a trip to Farr's) with Angee on Friday. Later my friends and I all got together for a trip up the canyon to Ruth's diner. It was awesome! Saturday we went boating...I wish I had pics but sorry - not yet. Maybe I can steal dad's! We'll see.

Sunday, after the temple dedication, I had to say goodbye. Braxton was such a sweetie.

And Cayden really wanted to go home with me - so he jumped in my backpack. I swear that's what happened! That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Armadillo!!!

Yes...an armadillo was just hanging out right outside my work. Apparently that's not something that is unusual here. Lisa said, "it's like a rat". Josh said, "Mmmhmmm", and Leslie said something like, "oh they're cute" (she thinks everything is cute). I, however, was screaming, "get a camera! Where's my camera? Someone take a picture! There's a live armadillo RIGHT THERE!!!!"

Wouldn't you have thought the same thing???

Little Boys in High Heels

I went to my friend Lisa's house on Saturday. She makes cards and invitations that are personalized, creative and beautiful. If anyone needs her services, just let me know. Anyway, I needed some help with some relief society invitations so I spent the afternoon there. While we sat around talking, Lincoln, her 20 month old little boy, decided that my 4 inch wedge heels were something that would be fun to try on.

I was a little concerned he'd sprain an ankle, but his little feet barely went past the toe of the shoe, so no problems there!

The invites turned out really nice too!
